Every year, Block Parents provide help to hundreds of people: children who are lost, seniors who suddenly feel ill while walking in their neighbourhood or teens wo are bothered by bullies. The distinctive red and white sign in the window of a home means that someone is there to answer your knock at the door and offer assistance. In addition to the traditional single family home, the Block Parent safety network has expanded into small buiinesses. Increasingly, the Business Block Parent decal is being seen in store windows, indicating that help is at hand.

 

The New Brunswick Block Parent Association is celebrating 30 years of continued community Safety. Please help us celebrate by either becomming a Block Parent or by taking the lead in your own community and chairing a local committee in establishing the Program.

 

Seniors are our window to our past and our children are the door to the future: we can never protect then enough.
